Nenapu

Short version: We collect nothing. Nenapu has no account, no server and no cloud. Everything you write stays on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. Nenapu does not create an account, does not have a server, and does not send your diary entries, photos or any usage data anywhere. There are no analytics, no advertising and no third-party trackers.

Where your data lives

Your entries, photos and moods are stored only in Nenapu’s private storage on your phone or tablet, protected by your device passcode. Each profile keeps its own records, and a profile lock (PIN or biometrics) keeps others in the family out of your diary. On-device database encryption and encrypted backups are planned. Until then, your device passcode and the optional profile lock protect your diary.

Permissions

• Camera and Photos: only when you add a photo to an entry. The photo is copied into Nenapu’s private storage on your device.
• Face ID or fingerprint: only to unlock your diary. The biometric check happens on the device, and Nenapu never sees your biometric data.
• Notifications: only for the gentle evening reminder, which you can turn on or off.

Backups

Because there is no cloud, you control your backups. When you export a profile, Nenapu writes a single .nenapu file that you save to your own storage (for example your Drive, iCloud Drive or computer). We never see that file. These backup files are not yet encrypted, so keep them somewhere you trust. You can import one later to restore your diary. Only Nenapu backup files can be imported.

Children

A shared device may hold a child’s profile set up by a parent. The same rules apply: nothing is collected or transmitted.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will appear here with a new date. The promise to collect nothing will not change.
